UNDERSTANDING CORON

Coron is a part of Calamianes Group of Island located at the Northern Part of Palawan. It was also the ancestral land of the ethnic group called "tagbanwa or tagbanua" and until today most of the beautiful lakes and islands in Coron was owned by Tagbanwa Community.

Coron is famous because of its beautiful scenery especially for underwater explorers. It was also a fantastic base for adventure like shipwreck diving, coral snorkeling, trekking and a lot more!

    HOW TO GET TO CORON

    • From MANILA to CORON

      Coron is easily accessible by Air if you are coming from Manila. Airlines such as Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines, Cebgo and Skyjet are offering direct flight from Manila to Busuanga. You can also ride a ferry like 2go Travel Ferry but it takes 12 Hours before you can reach the Municipality of Coron.

    • From PUERTO PRINCESA to CORON

      If you are coming from Puerto Princesa and want to go directly to Coron, you can ride a 2GO Travel Ferry or via AirJuan which offers a direct flight from Puerto Princesa to Busuanga and vice versa.




      AirJuan schedule for direct flight is every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. They also have schedule every Wednesday and Saturday but It has a stop over at Cuyo, Palawan and It was expensive compare to their direct flight. AirJuan can accommodate 9 persons only and they only have one schedule per day. Prices may vary depends on the fare class and it includes 10KG Free Baggage for Early Bird and Saver and for Full Fare, it includes 25KG Free Baggage.       For 2GO Travel Ferry, it takes 15 Hours of Travel and they only have two schedules per week. Here is their weekly schedule:

      Fare in 2GO may differ depends on your travel date and type of Accommodation you will book but the good thing about it is, the lunch and breakfast is already included plus 75KLS Free Baggage.


      TYPES OF ACCOMMODATION IN 2GO:

      SUPER VALUE CLASS

      If you are a budget traveler, this type of accommodation will surely suits your budget. This is an open air accommodation. Just don't expect too much in this type of accommodation and don't leave your things unattended.

      Super Value Class

      TOURIST CLASS

      This type of accommodation is also for a budget traveler. Unlike in Super Value Class, this is an air-conditioned accommodation with much comfortable bunks. Just like in Super Value Class, it has common CR. Tourist Class is just near at the reception area. If you want to upgrade your food and eat on their Horizon Cafe, just add P117.00 and you can now enjoy their meals with free dessert.




      STATEROOM

      If you are seeking for a privacy, this room is best for you. Stateroom is an air-conditioned accommodation with private bathroom and CR. It also have a mini-refrigerator and television. It has two Double Decker bunk beds and one queen sized bed. It can accommodate up to four persons and good for family. 2GO Travel Ferry have only Four Stateroom so it's much better if you will book early to secure your room. 





      CABIN FOR FOUR

      Just like in Stateroom, this accommodation is also good for four persons. But, the difference between the stateroom and this room is, it only have two double decker bunks.



    • From EL NIDO to CORON

      You can take a bus from Puerto Princesa up to El Nido and then take a ferry from El Nido to Coron. It will only take four hours of travel by Sea. You can book your ticket directly to Milagrosa Shipping Lines since they have "First Come, Frist Serve" policy because they only have 50 seats capacity. They only have one schedule per day. If you are coming from El Nido, their boarding time is six in the morning and if you are coming from Coron, boarding time is 12NN.

    Puerto Princesa Trip: Kuyba Almoneca

    Kuyba Almoneca was known in Puerto Princesa as a Holy Meditation Garden and because of the Holy Face of Jesus that can be found inside the cave. It was located at Barangay San Jose, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. Signage at the Entrance Kuyba means cave and the Almoneca is the combination of names of the Children of the owner. The entrance fee here is just P150.00 per head. They actually increased their entrance fee (It was just P50.00 per head before haha) We started our tour after paying and got our tour guide. Surprisingly, our tour guide is just a kid around 10-12 years old! Our first stop was on the Holy Family Cave where you can see the Holy Face of Jesus. Before entering the cave, we have to wear a helmet for our protection on sharp stones. This cave was a actually an old dump site.
